Read the above link to understand exactly how it works, especially in regards to class features combining. However, since this is homebrew, your GM may be modifying particular aspects (or simply be uninformed as to their "correct" implementation, as there's no official source for PF1e). Thankfully, the D&D 3.5e systems and Pathfinder 1e systems are similar enough that the rules can be largely imported in with no further changes. A gestalt ruleset has never been published for Pathfinder 1e, so any implementation is homebrew. It is an optional ruleset published for D&D 3.5e that allows for characters to level in two classes simultaneously. There is no VMC available for a slayer, so Wizard VMC Slayer does not exist. In the case of a Slayer VMC Wizard, you'll pick up some school powers of a wizard, but no spellcasting (aside from a cantrip at 11th level). In general, you get one "iconic" class feature at full level progression, but little else. Options for the Core Classes and Base Classes can be found at these links Variant Multiclassing or "VMC" is an official optional ruleset for Pathfinder that trades a characters feats at 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, and 19th levels (so half of all of their feats) for a pre-defined set of class features from a second class. You're describing details from two separate things, and should consult with your GM to make sure you understand exactly what you're dealing with:
